MHA Communities North Staffordshire
At Leek Building Society Charitable Foundation, we are proud to support organisations that make a meaningful difference within our local communities. Recently, we were delighted to present a cheque for £2,000 to MHA Communities North Staffordshire, an organisation dedicated to reducing loneliness and isolation among older people.
MHA Communities delivers a wide range of activities across Stoke-on-Trent and Staffordshire, all centred around bringing people together and building meaningful connections. Their work is vital in supporting individuals who may otherwise feel isolated, helping them stay engaged, active, and connected within their community.
This funding will have a significant and immediate impact. The donation will help to provide meals for three of MHA Communities’ lunch clubs, where people from all walks of life come together to enjoy a warm, two-course meal in a welcoming and friendly environment. These gatherings are about much more than food, they offer an opportunity to share stories, build friendships, and create a true sense of belonging.
For many people attending, these lunch clubs are a highlight of the week, offering companionship and support that can make a real difference to their wellbeing. By helping to fund these sessions, we are proud to play a part in enabling these valuable moments of connection.
We are inspired by the work of MHA Communities North Staffordshire and the positive impact they continue to have across the counties.
