Open an account in branch

We would love to spend time getting to know you and understand what’s important to you.

Whether you know which account you’d like to open, need guidance on what accounts are available to you, or simply want a friendly face to face chat about how we can help, please get in touch with your local branch or pop in at a time convenient to you.

Things to bring with you to branch:

Depending on whether you’re a new or existing customer, we may ask you to provide identification to confirm your name and address. To assist you, we try to verify this electronically. If we are unable to, we would require your paper documentation instead.

For a full list of what we can accept as proof of identity, please read our Proving your identity leaflet.

You will also need to bring a cheque or cash for at least the minimum investment to open the account. If you are opening an ISA account, we will require your National Insurance Number.
