  • Mortgage deal coming to an end?

    If your current mortgage deal is coming to an end in the next 4 months, we will have sent a letter to you outlining the next steps to take. Switching your mortgage deal with us is simple and straightforward. You have 1 of 3 options:
     

    1. If you have received a letter from us inviting you to apply for your next mortgage product online, click the button below to log in and view the products you’re eligible for and start your application.

    2. If you have received a letter which provides you with instructions on how to choose your next mortgage product by post or telephone, please follow the instructions contained within the letter.
       
    3. If your letter has requested that you speak to one of our friendly Mortgage Advisers, we’ll provide advice and help you find the right mortgage that suits your circumstances and needs. Call us today on 0808 169 6680 to arrange an appointment and your Mortgage Adviser will guide you through the process.

  • Borrowing more on your mortgage?

    Borrowing more on your existing Leek Building Society mortgage, whether it's on your residential home or a Buy to Let property, may help raise the funds you need for things like home improvements or capital raising towards a car purchase. We know how important it is to be able to trust that the mortgage deal you choose is the right one for you, your family or your investment. Speak to one of our experienced Mortgage Advisers and you'll receive the same personal Leek Building Society service that you will undoubtedly have become accustomed to.

    Am I eligible for additional borrowing?

    If your mortgage is already with Leek Building Society and you wish to raise additional funds for home improvements or capital raising, for example, to purchase a car or fund a holiday, then we may be able to help subject to eligibility. Additional borrowing may be considered 3 months after the completion of your mortgage. We have a team of Mortgage Advisers, trained to deliver the highest standard of customer service, who would be delighted to see if this is something we can help you with.

    Please note, we don't offer additional borrowing for debt consolidation or bridging loans.

  • Moving home and moving your mortgage?

    If you're moving home and have an existing Leek Building Society mortgage on your home, you may be able to transfer your current mortgage product to your new property.  This is called porting and means that you'll retain the benefits of the mortgage product, even if you move.

    The first thing to do is to find out if your current mortgage product is portable. You can do this by checking your original mortgage offer or by calling us on 0808 169 6680. To find out more about porting your mortgage, please read our portability statement.

  • Making changes to your mortgage?

    Sometimes when your circumstances change, you may find yourself needing to adjust your mortgage as well. It could be that you recently got married and need to add your partner to your mortgage, or you decide to move to a new property and rent out your existing home. It may be that you're retiring and wish to move onto an interest only repayment basis, or you just simply want to arrange a monthly overpayment on your mortgage. Whatever the reason, speak to us today and see how our friendly and experienced team can adjust your existing mortgage to suit your circumstances.

  • Having difficulties paying your mortgage?

    We all know that circumstances change, which can leave you struggling financially. Whilst many of us prefer to think ‘well, it’ll never happen to me’, it’s all too easy to get into the sort of financial difficulty that could, unfortunately, put your home at risk.

    The sooner you get in touch with us, the earlier we can help you. If you have already fallen behind with your mortgage payments, or are worried that this could happen, please contact us as our dedicated team is here to help.

    It is better to take action, as the worst thing you can do is…nothing! Together, we can work out the best option for your individual circumstances.
