Installing life-saving equipment at Shropshire Day Care Centre

2nd April 2024
Shropshire Day Care Centre defibrillator

As we continue to strengthen our community support, we’re pleased to see a new defibrillator installed at the Shropshire Day Care Centre in Market Drayton, Shropshire. The addition of this life-saving device marks the tenth install across our four counties and follows our pledge to install 100 defibrillators over four years.

Julie Hinton from our Market Drayton branch, said:

"We’re delighted to see a new defibrillator now available at Shropshire Day Care Centre in Market Drayton. We believe in making tangible contributions to the communities we serve, and the Shropshire Day Care Centre is a lovely, safe and inviting space with lots of activities to keep users busy. The installation of the defibrillator aligns with our mission to promote health and safety for the benefit of residents across Shropshire."

Our Market Drayton branch is located on the town’s High Street, not far from where the new AED unit has been installed. We’re delighted to be strengthening our commitment to the local community by providing critical care equipment to the Day Care Centre’s services users, as well as nearby residents.

Stuart Willatt from Shropshire Day Care Centre, said:

“The addition of the defibrillator means we’re equipped to respond swiftly and effectively to cardiac emergencies, ensuring that our service users receive timely interventions that can make all the difference between life and death. This invaluable asset empowers our teams, healthcare professionals and first responders to deliver critical treatment on-site, drastically improving the chances of survival and recovery for individuals experiencing sudden cardiac arrest. We’d like to thank Leek Building Society for their generosity that has allowed our own; and many other, lifesaving defibrillators to be accessible.”
